"We use
Potomac on a plasma screen in our lobby to continuously promote
upcoming programs and a variety of services provided by the library.
It is easy to add our own images as new slides. We also use the
marquee capability to announce programs and public meetings occurring
that day in our meeting rooms. The marquee automatically reads data
we supply as an RSS feed to automatically update the display based
on our meeting room schedules."
Stephen Wood - Director of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights
Public Library: Cleveland Heights, Ohio
"We use
it to display current library information, including hours, services
and policies. It has been particularly helpful during our ongoing
renovation for communicating information about new floors being
open, or other areas being closed for construction. We will use
it to announce general campus events like the Welcome Week calendar."
Laura Burtle - Assistant Dean for the Georgia State University Library:
Atlanta, Georgia
"At the
Golden Community Center we use the Potomac system to display new
information. On a regular basis this might include: holiday hours
of operation, meeting room locations, new classes open for registration,
new items for sale at our Pro Shop, class descriptions, etc. We
have even considered using it as a means of advertising for some
of our local vendors that currently advertise in our recreation
brochure."
Rod Tarullo - Golden Parks and Recreation Department: Golden, Colorado
"Out IT
Assistant is the staff member who use the Potomac the most in our
library. She states that it is easy to use and reliable as far as
technology goes. She has shown other staff members how to use it
and they have few problems. She also said that Interface's support
has been helpful, nice and timely. We use Potomac as a message board
in our front lobby, where we display the signal to 3 monitors simultaneously.
It is a neat, clean and eye-catching way to advertise the library
news and events to our patrons."
Ron Fahey - Systems Librarian for the Bartow County Library System:
Cartersville, Georgia
"It is
a perfect billboard. We use it to inform the patrons of all library
activities. I have the most incredible staff that is very creative
when designing the pages."
Chris Snell - Director of the Sequoyah Public Library: Fayetteville,
Georgia
